EV charger fuse box tripping

Hi all,

Weird one here, can’t find any similar issues online.

My Newmotion charge point runs through a G8EV40PME box, and this box is regularly tripping/clicking every few seconds. See video attached.

Any idea what could be causing this? I’ve flipped the main fuse box switch, the switch for the EV unit, and the switches on the EV specific box, and when switched back on, it continues to trip/flicker/click as per video.

The charging unit has now stopped working.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

When was that installed ?

Sounds like a contactor

That has PME fault protection so one of two things are happening, the red indicator is indicating a PME fault or the unit is faulty. I think you are going to need to contact Garo or get professional help.

I’ve contacted the installer, will contact Garo.
