Hi all.

I'm in the process of extending the electricity to my newly built shed. can someone please help me regarding the below setup

Aim is to keep costs to a minimum and keep things legal and safe.

1. Is the setup legal in UK (England)?

2. Is it notifiable? or does it need a minor works certificate?

I'm hoping to do the work myslef with help of a retired electrician who isn't registered anymore.

thanks

sticking a plug on it does not get you around part P, if thats what youre hoping for

2.8 installing fixed electrical equipment is within the scope of Part P, even if the final connection is by a standard 13A plug and socket

OP - why isn't the "retired" electrician answering this?

MY advice to you is do nothing until you have met with sparks - some will be happy for you to do some of the work, some wont and only Napit and Stroma offer any ability to do 3rd party inspection if I remember correctly
