i need to find a coin meter or a card meter where i can take the insides out and make into a fake meter to take the money for the lights on halloween to work, ill be monitoring the drive throughout the event so will make the show happen from the computer manually when people put the money in the box say 50 pence to see the lights dance to music all proceeds will be sent to chosen chairty etc etc has anyone either got an old coin operated meter they are willing to give away postage would be paid obvously. or do they know where i could get one from, also if ots a coin version does it need to have 240 volts to light a lamp up upstairs in the house or could i run 12 v dc through it instead, many thanks in advance.

no marie curie cancer care that help with caring for terminally ill patients either in their many hospices or at home in their final days of life through having cancer.

I'll have to make sure i've got some change when i come up then Badger on the night.

Hi Badger,

i know it might be a long shot, but howabout contacting some companies like Stephen Wales in torquay to see if they have any coin operated meters they could loan you for a short period?

Never know if you dont ask.

how about a simplified toll basket,?ie, simply a cone(funnel) with a sensor at the bottom, when something passes by it triggers the show,,,,,,,,,
i think Steptoe's came up with the ideal solution and easiest and cheepest way.

Nip down the toll road Badge and borrow one of there's mate.
