There isn't a correct answer to this so why the squabbling? Re-use it if you want to, don't bother if you have money to burn. I've replaced wires that test out as perfectly safe after flood/fire/whatever, am I doing it wrong as well?

 
Why would you when everything else around it is ruined?
normally you wouldnt, but the simple fact is pyro is capable of withstanding a fire and often is still in good enough condition to be reused and put back into service, where as all the others would have been damaged and need to be replaced. bit like solid walls really, it may need a bit of paint and possibly some plaster, but you dont always have to rip it down and start again just because its been in a fire
