Ok so Essex how would you like to see the OP written? 

Was the OP being racist or merely stating where these guys were from? If I were to live in Wiltshire and a guy from Essex did some terrible work and I was to tell my neighbour about it and mentioned that the guy was from Essex would that be racist? It can't be helped that these guys came from a different country! 

Now the fact that these countries from which they came have lower/different standards than ours doesn't mean they shouldn't come here it merely means they shouldn't practice over here until they are conversant with our standards, regardless of what it is they practice.

Wow!  I refuse to accept for a second that you are that stupid. The op was suggesting that because they were EE they carried out poor workmanship. The op would have been as equally valid if that was not mentioned but the fact is it was added to incite anger at EE.

I'm sorry,,, but I took the OP as saying "here's some dodgy work that was carried out by some Eastern Europeans",,,, certainly not that "all EE work is dodgy" which is what you're implying that he said

Well I'll take that as the compliment that it is! 

What im pointing out Essex is that a statement can be taken interpreted in differing ways depending upon how's its perceived. 

You with you compassion for the human race will interpret the statement as racist many will interpret it as generally poor standards as learned in their original country, both arguments can be seen to be right?

You are incorrect Essex. Your personal interpretation is what you state above, But my interpretation, (and probably a lot of other members), based on factual past history of Slipshods previous posts and contributions to the forum, (which actually span a far greater period of time and quantity than yours) is that the OP was merely pointing out that some poor workmanship has been carried out by some EE, (NOT that all EE carry out poor workmanship). If I recall correctly Slipshod has posted black museum images from people of numerous ethnic backgrounds, This thread is merely detailing the facts of who did what.

I am not saying the op is racist. It is a racist comment. The ethnic background of anyone has nothing to do with the workmanship they carry out. 

Like I said before. Take out 'Eastern European' and insert 'blacks' or 'Jews' and it suddenly changes the way the op is read. Why?  Because it is currently 'acceptable' to complain about EE.
