I am currently QS for two separate companys and have two assessments and registrations every yearInteresting Prof, though I can't find a specific statement relating to the quarter either way, I had been told by a so called "reliable" source that there was a quarterly issue. As far as the Ltd. Co. & Sole Trader in the post above, that is covered by the links in the post by Prof.
HMRC would class this as tax avoidance.
Also, there is the Scam issue, if you are under the QS system (lets leave the details for a minute) one can ONLY be QS for a single registered entity.
Thus under the QS system he could be QS for the sole trader, but not the Ltd. Co.
Not sure how NAPIT would deal with that situation, Prof or anyone?
Same person 2 companies, would need to be 2 registrations?
Thus 2 assessments etc.?
Could 1 person be OK doing this?...
That was one of the things I had cleared up with them before doing the second application at first they said no then gave me a 'yes' in writing as I am self employed as well as employedI had been told that this is not allowed! What about conflict of interest?
As a customer it 'feels' better reducing my VAT liability to the taxman by buying things that reduce that amount!I don't get the fact that company's only wanting you if your vat reg. They still pay the same, if they pay you 100 if your not vat reg or 120 if you are then they still pay you 100 speno what's the big deal?
As an example, It cost me 9k last year for my business expenditure. Thats where you save with VAT
Sidewinder you think
Snapey,I have a client that pays
