Hi all,What can i say........ I was never lucky enough to have kids, [or a proper dad] but if i did, i wish [hope] that i would have been half as good a dad as you lot have been to your kids....Not like these idiots that just want to prop them in front of the television.

Anyone can go to a shop and buy something for them. To make something like that for them [and with them perhaps] is trully the mark of a brilliant devoted dad..

Be proud, for you are all very special people.....If there were more like you, the world would be a better and happier place....

john...
You're not the first person to suggest that I'm "special"! :)

A few photos of the latest acquisition. We all know what a mobility scooter looks like so plenty of photos under the casing and underneath etc. You can see the two 12V batteries and motor/gearbox with the speed controller wedged in between. Got to lengthen the wheelbase so might make a complete new centre section as this unbolts. Then need to widen the wheelbase which will mean longer track rods, re-designed front "hubs" etc etc, extend the drive shafts on the rear. Then bigger wheels etc etc.

The display you present for us is inspiring and very professional.

A very useful ideas that will be referenced long into the future...That is superb.

Everytime I go in the garage I see the original jeep and the scooters and they're just another reminder of the MANY unfinished projects. Glad you like the idea though. TBH IF I could get my ar5e in gear it wouldn't take too long. BUT it's bathroom refurb time now so the kids will probably driving real cars by the time I finish!

Out of interest if anyone decides to make their own and NOT use a scooter and it's associated controls then the company 4QD do a wicked range of speed controllers:

There are some pictures of the Jeep made by Mike Mack - the guy in the States I spoke to way back but the link to his site doesn't seem to work.
