Hi, i have purchased some LED strip lights designed to sit within the gaps of a wall slat panel. They have arrived though with with just 3 bare wires, red, white and yellow, waiting to be connected up. What do i need to purchase in order to end up with these being pluggable into your standard 3 pin uk wall socket?

Thanks in advance

They will need some sort of LED driver to convert the 230v AC wall socket voltage down to whatever voltage the LED strips require..

Guessing either 12v or 24v?

Do you have any technical spec info for the LED strips?

Most UK compliant electrical gear should come with appropriate installation connection instructions included with them

Is there any writing on the back of the LED strips giving info like voltage, power, make model number??

You really need to find out what you have bought. Do NOT connect it direct to 230 volts!
It isn't just basic led strip or it would only have two wires. I would guess it's multi coloured and needs a driver unit which will reduce the voltage and probably also control colours.
Did the supplier you bought it from not offer a driver unit too ?

Theres no writing on the lights an no technical documentation provided... i will try and speak to the supplier to get that info and if not then probably look to return them, too much uncertainty i guess. Thanks for your input

No they didnt offer anything other than the lights strips, and no documentation was provided or is available on their site. I think i will ultimately have to return them unless the supplier can send me some information. Thanks for your reply

No documentation and no supply of other essential parts - alarm bells

Return for full refund and once you have the refund leave them a negative review as this practice is unacceptable imho
