What`s with the display mate? - what`s it DO?

seems the continuity tester is a part of the reel from what i understand.

Quite a ridgid in its offering but in essence at shows the presence of voltage, not a value but an indication.

It also shows a resistance value, lower than 2 ohms it shows the value IE 1.5 ohms and the back light is blue, should it be higher than 2 ohms it shows the value, beebs and the back light turns red.

Now i don't know the value of this to you guys so please let me know your thoughts, it is a French company selling these so it may not be of any use here i guess.

Cant see it being very popular if itsmuch more expensive than a standard wander lead since mostly everyone who requires a wander lead already has a continuity tester.

To me it looks like the same thought process as went into the Magna Mole on Dragons Den....a solution to a problem that does not really exist

It is one of those " could be handy in the right situation, but I have managed this long without one " items.....depending on cost.

Are you taking an evaluation sample to Elex?......I will be going on the Thursday with a view to buying a new MFT......the valves in the old one are beginning to leak,!

Any suggestions?....most likely going down the Fluke route

Mark - a demo at Coventry could be good????? Though, to be honest, from the description, and guessing at cost - I don`t think I would. ( A roll of 1.5 is much cheaper :coat )

Mark, its useless mate, I bought one of those all singing all dancing wander leads before, then reverted when required to the odd drum of earth cable to the same affect.

Some 5DW will buy it because they always think thats what we use!
