Based on the first episode I agree, very dull, almost trying too hard to copy the format made by others.

Yes Evans trying to simulate Clarksons one liners just sounds ridiculous. His voice is to high pitched to get the same effect.
And he just sounds like a well rehearsed copycat.

Was not great. Still neither was Top Gear when Clarkson first took it over.
The Reliant race was a stupid idea as was the army truck thing. The one car trying to hunt down and shoot the other car has been done to death also. Trying far too hard to be like it was when we all know what made it what it was was Clarkson, Hammond and Slow. They should go in a complete new direction and make it their own.
At the start when Chris had his mates from his local Indian restaurant in I thought it was doomed from then.
