I would imagine that is a job you give to the apprentice, go to the wholesalers and buy a new Ding for the doorbell!You can buy a DONG as a spare part , I think Edmundsons do them . Unfortunately they don't stock the DINGS as N& Eyre has the concession to sell those. However , try asking Steptoe as hes always playing with his DING-A-LING ( Copyright Chuck Berry)

Think your gonna need a 3 phase supply to this doorbell lolI've had a problem like this before. You need to increase the voltage. On longer runs the volt drop can be enough to not throw the bar hard enough to ding then dong. Easy fix though.
