PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP? One of the 4 main fuses ( to 4 self contained flats )located outside the property is not working properly. The supplier - British Gas - says they cannot touch it, The private electrician employed says he cannot touch it. The local distributor London Power networks say the qualified electrician can replace it or renew it. WHO IS CORRECT ?

most electricians will probably change a service fuse even though there not supposed to, mainly because of terrible call out responce times from the supplier... not that i know of AAAANNNNYYYY that have :innocent

This could be the either the suppliers fuse or a fuse protecting a sub-main to inside, which would belong to the property owner. Has any of the people you mentioned actually looked at the setup ?

What do you mean by 'not working properly' ? If its going on and off its a loose connection that could be dangerous

yea just by the description i thought it sounded like one of those new fangled 'bemco distribution boxes' there fitting to newer smaller flats. if its on the customer side, probobly an electrician not wanting to get out of bed if its just happened!! :z
