I've been looking on the site to try and find a way to repair my Newlec storage heater. The best suggestion was to replace the thermostat which I did yesterday using the part below from Torre Electrics:

Newlec storage heater Room sensor thermostat with capillary tube NLSH24AN

However today it is still not working. I'm not an electrician but don't see what else could be causing the problem.

I have a seperate trip switch for economy 7 and all switches are set to on.

The storage heater in the hall next to the living room is still working fine.

If you can provide any advice it would be much appreaciated.

I've just taken out the Limit Thermostat to try and find the thermal cut out. Can you tell me what it looks like?

I think I've identified it. A metal strip sticking up in front of a red plastic section. When I press down though it does not stay down, is this what you would expect?
