A practical query...
I'm putting in a Spur for an outside socket running from a double socket in the nearest room. No FCU required. Customer wants the cable run in trunking from the existing socket (which is flush, metal back box,) rather than buried cable, so I was going to use a mini trunking pattress with mini trunking.
What's the best/easiest way to do this, if poss without disturbing the current socket? Can I get away with attaching the new surface box to the current backbox using longer screws and screw extenders?...although I realise that the screws for the socket itself will then also be holding the surface box to the wall, if that makes sense.
Ideas?..thanks!
