I decide its too hot , I'm doing nothing today , I've agreed to a neighbour blocking the right of way with a skip for three days so can't get the van out anyway.

So neighbour calls from the main road , they foster children , shower is broken can I fit new one ?

I'm thinking no , ****** off , then think it may be a burnt out connection or whatever . So I can walk through the rear of their property , but don't really want to be there , ancient Triton T80 manufactured in biblical times . Two burnt out micro switches no loose connections . The guy tells me the foster kid , teenager , is in the shower for an hour !!!! Hence melted switches . Blokes on about fetching a new shower which I don't want to fit TBH .

Looking in toolbox by pure chance I see two micro switches , previously removed from a shower months ago with my usual inkling that "these will come in one day" An hour & £40 better off I walk back to Dekington Towers in the baking sun .

I generally find the Triton's reliable but I did have a couple that were removed from refurbs that yielded many spare parts to fix others.

Even though it is not as hot here as darn sarf, I finished at mid day. I could not face the thought of doing a long stint of work in the loft. The job is not urgent, I am praying for a cool cloudy wet day for that job.

This is why NOTHING should be thrown away...it should all be kept ( space permitting)

for some bizarre reason all this weeks jobs have been outside lighting...bar one. That was replacing all toilet lights in a office block in warrington. NO windows, little or no ventilation!

This week I've found mysel working in the same boiling hot factory that I was in during the heatwave last year, and middle of the day I was in the compressor house... not nice!

Still, better than the year before last (or was it the year before that), animal byproducts rendering plant.... not nice smelling in the heat!

Think i've got two complete showers in the garage loft, this thread is not helping with my hoaring tendances!
