shower job

Dont you just love jobs like this.

10.5kw shower needs installing, customer isnt wanting the decor trashed on either side of wall, wall is solid brick & not stud.

She cant get it into her head a cable needs to get from the ceiling to the shower "the plumber said you'll probably come off the socket circuit"

"I have no problem if you want to use trunking, but it has to go on the bath side of the wall".....

that'll look nice

I've even thought of singles in steel flexi conduit, from ceiling to bottom of shower unit.

i don't like to see cable entry at the top as your promoting any condensation to run down the trunking / pipe and into the shower unit

He's not - he is coming from ceiling to underside of shower.

most showers that have to top entry have terminals designed for wiring below, so there is a drip loop in the cable

If the shower unit is designed for top entry if required then it is no problem as any moisture getting in at top just runs straight thru and out at bottom, cable goes down and then loops back up to terminals

I often trunk down from ceiling where already tiled and into top, silicon neatly to seal and looks ok.

Had a similar job last year, where we went external to the building and ran down the external wall, as they`d decorated BEFORE calling us ! DUH!!!
