Looks like feed into a socket and the feed out has been cut off. Plug comes back to junction box then off into the distance. Most of the installation is PVC twin and earh clipped to the top of a pergola in the blazing sun (for 4 days a year:tongue in cheek). Same garden centre that sold me a used pond pump with plug wired ar5e first last year...

Found this while installing some dado trunking in a school, I assume its now redundant, but not sure...

Wow !!!!!! Whats the telephone cable connected to the 2.5 feeding ?
No idea, was on holiday and not allowed to investigate. Had thought it was probably something to do with the key card that knocks off the power to everything but the fridge when you leace, so you can't leave aircon or TV on. Could be wrong though.

From the Turkish shops round my way it seems they would use wet string for electrickey if they could. Common one here is to hang pendant lampholders, wired in bell cable with twisted joints covered in sellotape under the canopies over the pavement displaying the rotting vegatables and fruit.

In the Kowloon walled City (Now demolished and look

at Wikipedia) electric supplies were connected live

without any isolation. No enforcement authorities

had any remit therein. Hong Kong police left it

alone.
