Spur off a spur is one of those myths that gets passed on. Show me the reg that says you can't. As long as the cable is not overloaded and you are not creating a massive imbalance in a ring cct, then there is no problem.
Apdx 15 BRB.

Incorrectly quoted. MK are rated at 13A per outlet so 26A.
problem solved dave fit a mk twin.

i did say this earlier :Salute

Is everyone else ignoring the regs?????????????X(X(X(X( X(
you can deviate so long as it meet the same level of safety

It was Miss Scarlet in the dinning room with the lead pipe. Lol:^OROTFWL
I thought they had used the lead pipe as an Earth so obviously hadn't taken precautions to prevent its removal then :p

It was removed and plastic pipe put in instead. No earth now. But we dont worry about that. This thread is the ignor the regs thread. ROTFWL

the idiots guide picture is not the reg...

the reg is 433.1.5 to which it refers.

find where it says you can't do it in that

cos if not we can't put 2 3a sfs's together on a twin back box either and that would only draw 6a.

common sense lads

I doubt any one is debating that its not electrically equivalent having 2 13A sso rather than one 26A dso BUT its not complaint and thats the issue.

Light hearted banter is always welcome on any thread, shows we are human and can have a laugh, but we must remember that there is and should be no neglect of regulation.

Deviations are allowed providing these are stated on any certificates along with the reasons why. We all learn by discussion.

Common sense has nothing to do with breaking the regs. You seem to have missed my earlier reply where i clearly point out the reg that states this.

reg 120.3

the resulting degree of safety of the installation shall be not less than that obtained by compliance with the reg.

Am I missing something here, Dave.

Why can't you swap out the double socket for a single and a 13 A FCU (The FCU coming before the socket) - then run your cable from this socket to your new one.

I don't think your washer and dryer are going to pull 13A (certainly not constantly and at the same time) :p

ive got miss scarlet and dining room here but not lead pipe, :p :Salute :Blushing
You can get a prescription from the doctors for that. Have you tried getting Miss Scarlet to play with it a little............

:coat

at this rate it will be me in the utility room with the brb. lol
