Any of these comparison websites have never matched anywhere near the premiums i pay on any insurances. Its definitely worth looking around and fibbing by just a few pounds each time how much you are paying. You pay less for sign written vans.

with these sites i look at their best quote then go to that companies site and its cheaper again !!!

You can transfer NCB, though many of the comparison sites don't factor this in.

Try a real life business insurance broker, they will help normally, ours is very good.

maybe Im just living in an old fashioned place where I actually thought the insurance might be cheaper than the van!!!

might try ringing a few tomorrow,

Funnily enough I'm in the same boat. Not had insurance in my own name for 5 years and had 5 years NCB then but doesn't count now, nor does the fact that I have been a named driver on 2 policies and no claims ion 5 years. Madness

Going to cost me

Patch,Are you in the FSB?

If so try them.

Else try a local business insurance broker, they can normally "help"!
Not in the FSB yet. Will join but need to earn some money first.

Might try a broker but pick the van up on Sunday so need to get on with it!

I used the car insurance to get a discount on the van, commensurate with the NCD I would`ve received :) Had to shop around for it though.

I`ll get Mrs. to dig out who its with.....

Albert - Mine`s 2008, and I pay <300 - L2H1 2L 120ps - to give you an idea :)

Insurance companies make it up as they go along.

I once got a quote from a broker and the cheapest was Norwich Union.

So I phoned them directly, thinking I could bypass the broker and the brokers's markup. They came back with a quote

Prodave. Brokers have schemes set up with insurance companies to ensure they get a better rate. When I was 17 I worked for a broker who had a motor trade scheme with nig which was 25% cheaper than the open Market accounts.

Aviva Van Insurance will match any NCD for those that have it on a family car or on another policy but you cant protect it. last year this reduced mine to around

headbang

a few rang me today to see if they could beat their online quote,

whats the reg number sir?

I dunno, I wont be buying the van til I find out insurance first,

sorry, we cant tell you how much without a reg number.

has it really got to the stage where nobody is able to actually quote for a specific van? they want the reg number cos thats what the system asks for!!!!!

I dunno, :|

I've played A plan & direct line off against each other............ currently have Direct line infront with
