You can't dispose of it unless you are registered under Part V of the Building Regs . You have to take the body to your LBC where they test you for bubonic plague . There are various schemes for this , UPYAJUMPA and RIPOFAGEN are the main ones. You have to fill out a certificate to show you have carried out a post mortem on the rat.

If you are a Vet like Apache then you can self-certify .

Quite so Sandra:)Applaud Smiley....

But isn't that only if the corpse is found in a kitchen, bathroom or on top or the fuse box???

AFAIK...

I thought a DIYBOB could do like for like replacements without notifying..

e.g. find a rat.. get new polished chrome flush-fitting rat from pet shop to replace the old one?

or faulty mouse... stick in in a replacement or possible a new low energy hamster of equivalent power all OK..

No certs or notification needed?

But if they wanted to add a new rat/mouse/squirrel etc..

an still keep all of the old pests as well.

Then MUST be notified?

unless of course I have me high heels stickin up me bum!!! :_|Blushing

;) ; ) ]:)

if its a grey squirrel, no notification required. if its a red squirrel, then it must be notified
