Just a thought?
when you set time did you leave well alone for the thing to come out of settings.
ie once you set time, leave it for a minute or two. Then check of oven works then check other functions.

When you tabbed across did you then push and hold the ‘line’ button for 10seconds?

what was showing?
Just the same, the same time as the actual time and the little arrow flashing

No I haven’t tried that, will do it now & let you know.... thanks

The only thing I would add is ask locally to see if there are any "appliance" specialists near you ....... There's 2 on my patch and they are both excellent

I recently troubleshooted my Hotpoint oven similar issue apart from it didn't start from a power outage.

After lots of research (videos mainly), I did a continuity test on the element then did the same test on the main oven thermostat, comparing it to the top oven/grill thermostat which was working. Turned out to be the main oven thermostat was faulty, which is an easy and cheap replaceable.

When turning the main oven temperature on do you get the oven light come on ? or do you not get that far at all because of this clock thing.
