You could sub it, we have quiet members on here, NOT ME, sorry!
Had a call & email from these people - apparently providing domestic insurance cover to 300,000 properties. They want a spark to cover South Wales (apparently the last one retired............... :C )
One off charge to be added to their list - not annual.
Bacs payments made weekly.
Looks legit to me, I`ve had a look at the companies house profile, which appears ok........
Any thoughts?
HomeFix 24/7
Seems to be a reccuring theme story jackanory:OJust had a call from homefix, they were looking for a spark to replace their 'usual' one as he had just retired. They were looking for someone to cover the wrexham area (north wales). When i mentioned that i covered other areas they werent in the slightest bit interested, they just wanted someone for that postcode.Googled homefix and it would appear that they are expanding rapidly which sort of suggests that they are getting a lot of tradesmen to sign up which will dilute what little work there is.
They are going to send me an email detailing how much they are going to try and fleece me.
yeah you could sub it to kme if you feel like making a good impression and judging from your poor score on rep points a good turn may earn you some browny points on here with members. You could sub it, we have quiet members on here, NOT ME, sorry!
Also rep points on a forum don't mean jack in the real world..and just so you know how come I got em, for saying what I bloody well think of the shoddiness of work I come across and speaking my mind about it... Oh and also calling Admin3 pal, I'm guessing she was one of them cos she threatened me with it... So, that all adds up to making me a bad spark.....
I am disappointed with some of the comments I read here Shed69. Can I just point out for the record the following: Any forum that is as open as this one, namely: (1) Members post are not pre moderated. (2) The content of post may be technically accurate or inaccurate. (3) It relies on all members to respect other members as they still comment on other posts in agreement or disagreement. (4) Not all members joined at the same date. (5) Not all members contribute the same amount of posts per day. (6) Not all members have the same years of experience in the trade. (7) Some members are clearly out of their depth. (8) Some members ask questions, but are not really wanting truthful answers, only answers they agree with. Stands the risk of having some members disappointed... I was under the impression this forum was a friendly kinda place, maybe I'm mistaken.....And to finish, this forum, in my short time since I've been on here, is very harsh on members that don't have 1000's of posts..... It doesn't mean they aren't competent electricians, it just means that maybe they are new to this forum......

ill have you know im not a 5 day/week wonder i have actually been in the industrry 10 years and went to college for 4 years from school, did c and g 2360 and passed first time, im old school trained not these new nvq 5 days/week wonders probably like your self. i have my quals to prove i went the right route, im not saying the bad workmanship in the field should not be shown and discussed but slating a qulaified sparky being in the trade 10 years and qulaified for 10 years after serving a 4 year apprentiship as well. i would say you are out of order, no wonder people here dislike your attitude, as you show no respect to our long standing members at all. reputation points dont mean anything in a forum sense in the real! world but the pictures of what ive ripped out and work ive done does stand for something called quality, take a lookback at my posts and the comments by the posts/threads ive started and make a dudgement on what people say about me in the real worl. funny tho all the repp points i have say something good, unlike you where you are thought of as arrogent and stuck up in mho.I'm sure KME would make a good impression but I doubt no more than me and my merry men do that's for sure. Also rep points on a forum don't mean jack in the real world but hey you keep plugging away Badger and I'm sure you'll get there...and just so you know how come I got em, for saying what I bloody well think of the shoddiness of work I come across and speaking my mind about it... Oh and also calling Admin3 pal, I'm guessing she was one of them cos she threatened me with it... So, that all adds up to making me a bad spark.....
Just advise me out of curiosity how come you done one of them 5 day DISQ to get ya DI???
I think you need to re-read post 31, no one was jumping on anyone (irrespective of how many posts or reputation point anyone has). I was merely replying to your incorrect assumptions about how the forum works and commenting on how reputation points are awarded. Clearly as you have said you like to speak your mind and the forum encourages healthy debate, you will also have to accept others are free to speak their mind about your comments as well. discussion is a two transaction. I will clarify again, You have a negative forum reputation because equally, (or more), experienced persons working within your trade sector, consider some of your input to the forum to be poor either by content or attitude.Doc I think you need to read post 26 & 28,29 again to see why this started and maybe make a comment on their posts instead of jumping on mine, I was simply standing up for myself... I like this forum as it can be helpful - my point is I won't just sit back and ignore needless comments from people I don't even know.... Why would I? As I'm sure you wouldn't Doc.... However as I have a red dot and they haven't you jump on me!!!
Nobody, and I MEAN nobody speaks their mind the way I do - NAPIT, NICEIC/ESC, ECA and IET all know what they will get from me if they show disrespect to the Trade. I`ve had senior scheme employees purple with rage, red with embarrassment and white with fear when faced with what they are up to - and it doesn`t matter how senior they are - if they have been on the fiddle (which they always are) they get it both barrels.1. I haven't slated you....2. I was simply asking about the DISQ, I haven't heard of it...
3. I know your not a 5 weeker as I have seen your website, which is where I also saw the DISQ thing along with your apprenticeship so that's how I know...
4. I am not a 5 week wonder but don't feel the need to state it in the manner you have which could be deemed as been arrogant yourself... Especially by a 5week wonder... They are not all bad ...
5. Stuck up??? Are you having a giraffe or what!!! You have a very special talent if you can work out people from a post!!! Maybe you could make a career out of your Mystic Meg like talent... (Joke by the way)
