Cell phone problem

Anyone know about cell phones?

I switched mine on earlier and noticed all the pictures had gone from the memory card.

It says " Memory card not formatted"

I've read the booklet but it tells you sod all TBH

Its a Nokia Classic ( the old fashioned type)

Tried taking a picture , it works and stores it in "Images" instead of "Memory card "

Memory card is "Empty".

TBH, it sounds as though your memory card has become corrupt and wiped itself, the phone seems to see it, but thinks its empty and needs formatted, not good if anything on it you need,

have you tried to take it out and put it in again?

Sometimes you can get problems with phones not "seeing" memory cards,,, before you do anything else turn your phone off, remove the card, turn your phone back on and then put the card back in.

See how that goes

Better than my problem....

When dialling my number people are sometimes getting "the number you are calling has not been recognised" FFS,, not even going to voicemail!!

Thanks Noz, just tried that , didn't do any good TBH . Pictures are going into the phone's memory instead of the card , I suppose I can carry on with it like that .

I use the pics a lot when quoting , plus family on there and a lot of Jennifer Aniston for some reason , don't know where they came from . :C

What about returning to factory settings. Don't want to lose all my contacts though.

Yes just tried it Steppers .

Have you got a memory Card adaptor? Can you plug the card into your PC and see what's on it?

Your pictures are usually stored in a folder called DCIM

It may be that somehow a storage setting has been altered in your phone????

I just found a choice in "Camera" , "images to phone memory" selected that and found the choice for "Memory card" selected that and its back as it was except that all my pics have gone :_|

Edit:- Thanks anyway guys, back to normal , I have no idea what caused that :C

I thought the same thing , Barx, only thing I can think of is that I leave the phone near the small speaker next to the computer screen .
