I'm doing PIR's on some houses where the Gas Meter and consumer unit are side by side inside the same cupboard.

I know this could be an issue with external influences etc (eg risk of an arc igniting leaking gas) but cannot remember (at this time at least) if a particular distance is stated in the regs that a gas meter can be from a consumer unit.

Any info greatly appreciated - thanks

It's covered in the front of the OSG. 150mm springs to mind, or less if there's a suitable barrier to compartmentalise the boiler and CU.
