This is really stupid now. It doesnt comply because its a socket. They are the regs. No point posting comments, stupid scenarios or pictures as those are the regs. Sockets are not suitable for overload protection, end of story.

are you really having difficulty in understanding that a plug has a fuse, so once plug is in, it has the same protection (fuse wise) as a fused spur.
