Hi, just having a clear out and have found an old SA9083 Tester in a leather case. There are no makers marks that i have found, but just has 'GPO' on the rear battery cover. Batteries were removed years ago so there is no damage from leaking batteries. Are these testers of any use to anyone or are they worth anything? It was passed onto me some 25 years ago but not sure how old it really is..

Has anyone had any experience with these dual beam

hand held oscilloscopes and do they have any specific

advantages over a Picoscope that could be linked to a

PC?

Comments appreciated.

Yes they are quicker.

By dual beam do you mean 2 channel?

You don't need a pc, & they are generally IP65 so you can use them in a reasonable environment.

They are also more robust than a pc.

Yes, by dual beam I mean dual channel.

By quicker do you mean the writing speed

is higher?

I have an older MOD type oscilloscope and

I use one every now and again. Every time

I turn it on I wonder how long it will last.
