Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a seperate passive infra red sensor (with a manual over ride) which would control two ooutside lights. I've been asked to fit one but am not sure about the correct way to wire it. ?:|

In the office again.
straightforward mate. 4 terminals - supply in P/N, and switched out P/N. The neutral isn`t always switched; it`s just a pass through.

As far as override goes, link switch across P in / P out. Nice & easy one... :) :) :)

Check the instructions on the pir because most modern pirs can be overidden just by switching the light switch on & off quickly.

From supply in LNE go to PIR (Perm Live which is normally brown wire no, Neutral, and Earth, from PIR on switched live output to each fitting (lamps) Then from Pir to override switch in twin brown, To make it easier take the 2 x twin and earths and twin brown to a JB and take a 3 core to the pir to make connections easier.

hope that helps.

check this data sheet out and look at the wiring diagram opposite figure 15

I dont do pubs far too expensive, home brew or tinnies for me plus I can smoke without having to go outside. F***ing nanny state.
