The new light arrived today, recommend three charges before at full charge will try it out tomorrow and report back. Then follow up with a report towards end of week. But does look mighty impressive.

Bought a "flood it" lamp from CEF the other day, it was pricey ( as are most things from CEF) should have waited and got one off ebay but there are so many out there now its hard to choose!?

Only really used it on 2 jobs where it came in really handy one was an upgrade bonding in a cellar job for which it was really good the other was change a lightbulb on a high ceiling at 5pm!

Am also a bit of a torch hoarder I have 3 Led lensers, a duracell headtorch & and a large maglite in the van :)

So far so good the only drawback is that the light is quite blinding if you are close by but that goes for all SMD leds ;)

Will give it a good deal of abuse next week and let you know how it goes :)

Well I can say this about the new one, it lasts longer than Screwfix one, still on first charge, been on for three hours, still going strong. Will give it a few more days then post some pictures. The two settings is noticeable, although the lower setting is more than enough.

Will see if I can get a comparative to Steps pictures.

You do the wiring for that Jigsaw chap from the Saw movies?

fire damage Apache,

Ive been getting quite a few of these past while from the council,

re-wires,

I have another one starting next week, burnt out house due to a DIY shower install,

my original pics are on here somewhere, appears to be shower MCB on the wrong side of the busbar after further investigation.

then another 2 just due to old age,

not great money, but steady regular work,

me and the labourer can 1st fix one in a day [basic stuff ] and 2nd fix in 2 evenings,.

The room in the pics looks a little 'rough'.

If it is your sitting room I apologise.........
Aggie would have ME under the patio,!!!!!!

many years ago we had a large retail outlet.

one of my fathers buying coups was a load of torches for Xmas.

Thomas the Tank Engine was the hero of the day.

one of the apprentices asked my dad for a torch, he gave him  a Thomas one

Switched it on under the floor [the lens had a Thomas on it which was designed to be projected onto a wall by the lucky child]

Damned near soiled himself when he saw this flipping great train coming towards him

just saying

over 4&1/2 hrs and still going, I simply left it running to see how long it would last,,,,,,,

took about 5&1/2 hrs to charge tho,

still, I can live with it charging overnight.

Ok so have charged the new light from toolstation a couple of times, battery holds charge for several days in between usage. Pretty impressed with dual light level output. Haven't as yet tried a continuous run time, but will get round to it at some stage, trouble is I need use of the light at both ends of the day at present. May charge the screwit one just for a day

Was going to add a photo but all I get is uploading not allowed? Any help from mods/admin would be good! Please.
