toby box,,,,,

NI housing executive used to specify a particular type of earth inspection box, it was about 3" square, galv metal, with a hinged metal lid,

and a 20mm hole at low level for conduit entry,

all I ever knew them to be called were toby boxes,

due to NIHE spec'ing them it was the only type of inspection box any of NI wholesalers ever stocked, they musta sold thousands of them......

at one stage I was prob fitting upwards of ten a week, easily, for a couple of years on one contract,

they had a major programme of upgrading all their watermain earths to proper TT at that time.
