Red And Black Cable On New Rewire?

Electric Center were flogging cable with the blue core stuck to the outer grey sheathing not so long ago, was a nightmare to strip back when making off the ends, it was there stock cable, can't remember the cable manufacturer off the top of my head, it was the one that comes in the cardboard boxes.

Used a load of that on a big new build from elec centre. What a nightmare to strip. It's always nice when its chalked up proper

Spoke to Elecsa technical helpline today and they said as long as the red and black is sleeved brown/blue and a dual colours warning label is placed on the CU then it is ok.

Why bother sleeving it if your putting a sticker on???

Thats what Elecsa said to do. Sleeve it to keep in line with latest regs for cable colours and sticker it because there will be a mix of both types of cable.
