Storage Heaters Letting Most Heat Out While Charging, And Not Slowly Thought The Day

Hi, our Storage Heaters are letting most heat out while charging, and not slowly thought the day, the controls are bing used correctly, with input being set to charge, and output set to number one while charging on eccomemy 7 tarrif, and then during the day the outputs are being set to one initially and then turned up throughout the day, but heat one one is pretty much inlay coming out .(and really hot at night while charging) and on the others is is coming out most ky while charging one only a little through the day even if the output is turned right up. I know storage heaters are not great, but they should be working more efficiently than this. They are just over 10 years old, what are the likely faults and parts that need fixing or replacing?

probably output stat faulty. turn it to 'off' and have a look under cover through vents, the flap should be closed

Setting the I put to 1 IMHO is very low..

do you turn the Output down at night and when you're out?
