It sums up everything thats wrong with this country .   Give it a couple of years and that one new position will have grown into a whole department with its own building and more staff than the police force its monitoring .

Like 90 percent of people I never payed any attention to this PCC thing, It is as I guessed just another sham.

Jobs for the Boys with gold lined pensions and all the perks you'd expect.

The thing with these type of jobs that they have been given are that they are not on the same level of the people thay are supposedto be helping

It would have made more seen for an exsisting police comm to do the job or somebody from the police force with the experiance of knowing what has to be done.

Plus it looks like he hasn't done an honest days work.

my brother in law is a copper,on his first   day on  duty the IRA bombed   the Arndale center in  Manchester, the older ones may recall that.

He carried one   girl out, then went back in for the second.

Since then  has had his skull fractured   tying to break   up a   fight   while he was of   duty.

He is qualified to use firearms and drive fast cars and earns   no where near   65k for been your publicity agent

If they have to have someone in this position they should have a police background , I think the same thing happened in the Midlands , some bloke got elected to the high paid position then starts recruiting others at similar salaries !!

that was the very time we were waiting at ringway waiting to fly back to norn iron and TBH the lot of us were just waiting to be picked up,
