Hi all,i am in my mid forties and have a good level of experience in the trade, although i do not work full-time in the trade,i ahve c&g part 1 and 2 and qualified to 17th edition. What i want to know is can anyone suggest what to do at college next i.e inspection and testing or othewise.

thanks

Hi mate

You mention testing and inspecting , seems like the right step forward . C&G 2391 for example or I think there is a limited scope for domestic work . If you want to do your own certificates then joining one of the scheme providers would save calling out the LABC every time you do a job , that's if you want to go it on your own or put your c.v together and apply to electrical firms . In the current climate though it won't be easy but things will pick up. Good luck though with what you choose to do
