Yes I think you should try to keep up to the speed limit but not forget vans and lorries are not allowed to do 60 on single track roads.

             I tend to keep to the speed limits was doing 30 through a village the other day as that is the speed limit had a plonker in a Mercedes was probably doing 45mph who caught me up very quickly with his lights on full. He rapidly overtook me, I will say I did leave my lights on full but he was gone so quickly he probably didn't care. I always find it surprising that people seem to think speed limits are only for day time.

Plus we were "on the clock", literally, we had to clock in and out, and we were only allowed 3 mins grace else we lost a 1/4hr, and if this was regular, then it was disciplinary.

I was late ONCE in a year and lost a day's pay, and told there

were to be no repeats.
