Got a job to fit 3 mains downlights in a sofit above a garage. Problem is the void is only 100mm deep, have been looking on web for some ip rated downlights, but most state 125mm needed.

Does anyone now of any ip rated 230v downlights that need a void less than 100mm, and where i can get them???????

Oh, they need to be white as well.

Thanks

Craig

Is that because they are meant for halogen lamps? You might have better look looking for LED or CFL downlighters.

The lowest profile downlighters that I've found are made by Aurora

Looking at their website I've found these(they are only IP44 though and they'll need all of that 100mm that you have)

MR16 ----- AU-DLL402

GU10 ----- AU-DLM412

HTH

Thanks guys.

What is the minimum ip rating for such lights outside.

Just flicking through the BRB and can't really sdeem to find a definitive answer, 559.10.5.1 on p148 seems to be the best i can find which to me translates to IP33?

I am correct or am i missing something?
