Hi,

Fiend is having probs with their Mira vie shower.

The problem is one the high setting is stuck at very hot temperature which doesn't change when the settings switch is changed from 0 to full.

The medium eco setting is Luke warm and the low setting is stone cold.

Will this be the flow regulator ?

Any advice appreciated

Thanks

Sounds like it, because most electric showers have a fixed heating power, and adjust the temperature by adjusting the flow rate.

Hi, I have the same shower with the same problem - I'm assuming it can't be my flow regulator though as when I turn the temp knob the flow changes :S

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello welcome to the forum...

You may have been better starting your own new thread..

but anyway...

Are you considering doing the repair yourself or getting someone in??

If repairing it yourself a quick look at this web page shows that there aren't actually that many components to choose from!!!

how old is your shower?

a quick glance at a few of the prices for parts may help you decide if it is worth while doing a repair or just replace the whole unit...

First thing is to do a few tests to try  and prove some items are good or failed.....

Its not much good doing any replacements without testing a few bits first..

(remember more than one part could have failed!)

Personally I would start off by doing a few electrical tests on the elements..

If continuity is good across both elements you can 99.99% chance say that its NOT item #8..

(the heater tank)

checking continuity across  the switches would prove if item #1 is ok...

Do you have any test equipment?

and/or know how to use it???
